  1. Oh, I remember those kinds of days...full of things to do and kid(s) to care for. Sometimes, I miss those days. I had such purpose.
    Yes - what Woodcutter said.
    Sweet nap.

  2. Of course I pray for you and send you warmest regards but I don't care how tight the budget is, BOYCOTT WALMART! They're bad medicine and you know it. Ask Pete Seeger

    Jon,
thank you friend. and yes, i'm not a huge fan of wally's (though that may not be enough for pete), but i'm also not a big fan of target, costco, sam's club, everything being made in china, arizona being a right to work state, the miles and miles of track home development....i could go on....the best i can do right now is try and love folks in the middle of this...i do shop local/indy too though and the independent hippy markets and music stores love me ;) (though i can be a pain in the ass cuz i like to haggle)

  4. Hey, I live in the real world too. Last night I went to K Mart just so I could say I didn't go to Walmart. Thing about Walmart is that it is an active boycott. Any number of groups are calling for a boycott of that specific store.

Man, naps are one of life's truly good things. A doctor once told me that ninety percent of all illness could be treated or prevented with diet rest and exercise.

Finally, I just hate the way Arizona is being developed. When my folks first moved to Tucson I thought it was one of the nicest small cities I'd ever seen. There was a lot of concern about light pollution, water conservation and preserving the beauty and diversity of the Sonoran desert. Twenty years later, the only concern is "How much money can we squeeze out of this dump before we've squeezed it dry?"
